Never surfed before? No problem! Come spend 2 amazing hours learning to surf with the best instructors on one of the best beaches in Costa Rica — Playa Grande. We supply the boards, rash guards, fresh pineapple and ice cold water, instructors, 2 hours of lessons and pick up and drop off (if needed). Our maximum 4:1 student to teacher ratio ensures you catch all the waves you want & have the attention you need.
Guanacaste's most unique surf school is not just a lesson, it's an Experience!!! From the moment we pick you up, your journey begins. We answer all your questions and get you hyped up for your surf lesson. Our local instructors will guide you through a land and safety lesson and get you into the water as soon as possible. The thrill you will feel riding your first wave and those that follow will be captured on pictures for you to relive after.
Playa Grande is a beautiful beach with amazing waves and most importantly, it is not crowded at all! Unlike Tamarindo, where you are sharing the water with hundreds of surfers of all levels fighting for waves, there's plenty of room here. As well you will be surfing on your own private beach.
To make your experience ever better, we surf the tides! The tide changes every day by about an hour and waves are better for lessons at this time as in low tide they can be as small as 1 foot. Unlike other tour operators and surf companies, our lesson times vary every day to ensure the perfect waves for your lesson. We want to give you the best experience.
